Description
This is a Christian allegory about the route to salvation by faith in Christ told from the point of view of a young man, Peregrine. Peregrine begins the journey as a boy in search of truth. He journeys in search of the King of Kings and His great kingdom takes Peregrine on a wandering journey through many lands peopled by different groups. These lands and people represent the diverse religions, philosophies and traditions of the world around us. Along the way he finds both allies and enemies and deals with each accordingly. The triumphs and tribulations the main character go through illustrate contrast between the straight and narrow but safe and prosperous way of the gospel and the broad and meandering, risky and detrimental way of the world. Ultimately Peregrine find both the King of Kings and His Kingdom. The King of Kings recognizes Peregrine accomplishments by preparing the young man for a mission to take His Royal proclamation back to the places of his journey. The book ends with peregrine leaving the Celestial City and beginning the homeward journey.
